Securom damaged my computer and I had to spend weeks backing up everything before sending it to get securom completely removed, and I had to throw away my DVD-burner (and it had been very very expensive too, apparently the same maker as Securom.) because it was shut down and would not work on any computer again, which meant I couldn't empty my digital camera either until I bought a new dvd-burner. I bought The Sims 2, expansion after expansion, but suddenly they sneaked in Securom, because as you know EA only likes pirates and hates those who legally pay for their products.
